This server pack is designed for balanced 2v2 Assault gameplay.
It limits spam and aims to encourage team work.


Assault.
Two teams, attackers and defenders, compete to control strategic points in a level. The attackers must touch the capture point to begin a countdown to take the point. The defenders can stop the capture at any time simply by retouching the capture point and so cancelling the countdown. When a point has been captured, the spawn points will shift to the next section and allow players to spawn nearer to the next point. When all the points have been captured, the attackers win. If the points have not been captured before the timer runs out, the defending team wins the game. In some maps defenders have the ability to construct defensive structures to protect a capture point.




This pack requires Far Cry to be patched to v1.4

The pack contains:

a server-side-only custom .pak file designed to provide better gameplay for 2v2 Assault games

This server pack in it's raw state will provide the following setup:
-Assault gametype
-maxteamlimit 2
-maxclients 5
-timelimit 12 min (DEFAULT 20)
-respawntime 10 sec (DEFAULT 20)
-spawninvulnerability 3 sec (DEFAULT 5)
-friendly fire ON
-crosshairname displays disabled (DEFAULT ON)
-damage ratings at defaults
-run stamina doubled
-grenade reduction
-sniper ammo reduction
-flashbang grenades enabled
-punkbuster OFF (no longer supported)
-raise flag capture time increased to 15 sec from 10
-reduced initial frag grenade count to 2 from 5
-reduced frag grenade pick amount to 1 from 2
-reduced frag grenade max amount carried to 2 from 5
-reduced max healthpacks carried to 3 from 5

-server config goes into the \Profiles\server folder

-20 recommened maps are in the mapcycle as an example

-mapcycles are written in a text file listing the map name followed by the gametype
-the name of the file needs to match the sv_mapcyclefile cvar that is in the server config
eg. mine is sv_mapcyclefile = "profiles/server/nedmapcycle.txt"

-the .txt file goes into the same folder as the server config

-see the supplied testmap, mp_2v2_harbor
-info.txt inside the [testmap]-mp_2v2_harbor folder includes map details and install intructions

-ensure the following is in your server config

-it works with a server config designed for 2v2 play
-clients do not require this file

This file does the following:
