[L4D] Hunter Training map plugin added to servers

eyeonus, the author of the Hunter Training map made a plugin for this map. It's of benefit for both L4D and L4D2 servers. I've decided to add it to both the main and test L4D servers.

Some things to note..
You do not need this plugin to play multiplayer on L4D dedicated servers, however, I recommend getting it anyway, as it will make your server much less able to be highjacked, as it will not enable all cheats, but merely those listed below.

whenever HTM is loaded, the cheats it needs will be enabled, and whenever any other map is loaded, the plugin will disable them, preventing abuse that could happen otherwise.

1.0 - Initial version
1.1 - Removed all unnecessary variables.
1.2 - Add hook for noclip to make it actually work - merely removing its cheat flag wasn't enough.
1.3 - Added "kill" to the cheat enable list, restricted "give" to "give health", restricted "z_spawn" to exclude tanks and witches, made enabled noclip function like normal, fixed minor bug that causes servers to bork on map change.
1.3.1 - Added check to restriction on give and z_spawn to only restrict when "l4d2_htm_mp_enable" = 1.
2.0 - Added manual start of Live Fire Course settings to admins for any map and removed need to manually reset anything on map change.
2.5 - Add "respawn", "respawn_all", updated "htm_training_start" to also change game mode to versus and teleport bots back to start when they get to the end of the map. Requires "htm_mp_enabler.gamedata.txt" to be in gamedata folder for respawning to function.

I'll add some L4D specific notes for this plugin soon..

eyeonus has updated his Hunter Training map to v4.0
Both the Test and Main servers have v4 installed.
Fixed problems with info box at C4 and C21.
Updated C18 video to new C18.
Added ladders to Live Fire Course to make it possible to climb as SI to any surface in map.
Added 5 new spawn rooms: 1 Boomer, 1 Jockey, 1 Charger (both spawn boomer in L4D), 1 smoker, and 1 spitter (spawns nothing in L4D).

It looks like Leafo, the creator of the Silent Hill 1 campaign, is still supporting his epic ride of a re-make of Playstation's Silent Hill.

Authoring tools for L4D1 is still not working as intended, hence the lacks of updates. Working on that.

I will still read the comments and take note on bug reports.


Silent Hill 1 is currently on the TEST server. Hopefully another update isn't too far away. I'll then probably upload it to the MAIN server..

The Heaven can wait campaign has been updated to v8 and is on the Test Server. There's no changelog but user feedback suggests bug and texture fixes.

edit: After playing v8 I've uploaded it to the Main server. It could do with some polishing but it's current version is very playable. It's a tuff one too! I like the way they didn't give us too many direction hints which forces exploration..

We Don't Go To Ravenholm is a port of the Ravenholm maps from Half Life 2 by warplane11.
v4.0 is now on the test server.

I Hate Mountains created by Nicolas "NykO18" Grevet, Marc "Moroes" Bidoul and Geoffroy "Kane" Espinasse with community help and support is now on both servers. This Campaign is stunning and the gameplay engages you in a way not found in many custom releases. It's also VERY actively supported. The first public release has only recently happened and the team is working hard on updating it with well over 20 fixes and tweaks. These guys are pushing the limits of the game's engine to its limits.. check the website for details.

I've added a campaign by MapEater called RoadToNowhere. It's at a beta stage so it's buggy but it's still worth a game. There are also a few graphics and fps issues and I think the finale is too easy but I'm hoping at least most of the negatives will get sorted out with future releases.

It's great to play a campaign that doesn't 'feel' similar to the originals!

I'll add this one to the main server pending updates.

I've added two more campaigns to both servers.

Dark Blood v1.9 Beta is set on a tankership and offers both co-op and versus. It's still in beta stage so there may be a few updates coming. As it is now it plays very well.

Suicide Blitz v3.0 is another map that plays well and doesn't have any "samey" feel to it like many custom campaigns do. The author, R.T. Frisk, is still active with this project having recently fixed a major AI issue that prevented me from wanting to upload this to the main server. It's on there now, fixed and ready to play!

DeadCity updated to vpk12 on both servers.
(previously Campaign/Versus and Survival were seperate .vpk files, now together)

Silent Fear v1.0 added to the test server.
Five randomly placed glyphs are required to be found to unlock the path to the finale in this Silent Hill themed map. One bug to note is if someone dies, rescue them before you activate the next glyph. Looking for something different? This is it!

[L4D] Hunter Training fix released..

eyeonus has updated his Hunter Training map with a quick fix, v3.5.1. His recently released v3.5 wouldn't start up in singleplayer mode (mulitplayer worked fine).

From the changelog..
Fixed bug causing Single Player loading via menu in L4D1 to fail.
