[UT04] UTComp v1.7a released!

UTComp Version 1.7a has been released.

Changelog from version 1.6a:
• Significantly improved enhanced netcode accuracy.
• Added the ability to view other players stats on the server via the scoreboard.
• Added forward gametype as a votable option.
• Added server side option to fix Epic's small shield absorption bug.
• Fixed movement error from v1.6a due to old test code.
• Added option for players to disable their own specific adrenaline combos.
• Servertravel parameters will now work on initial loading of game.
• Fixed Show Colored names when targeting enemy players option.
• Fixed scoreboard spectator box being too large with UTComp scoreboard disabled.
• Fixed GUI setting your current name to your first saved colored name's colors when you load the colored names menu the first time.
• Saving a colored name does not automatically change your name to this name when connecting to a server anymore.
• Fixed auto demo recording not working in assault under certain conditions.
• Added serverside option to allow quick map restart votes when map voting is disabled.
• Minor GUI fixes.




This plus UT2Vote v5.6 will be updated on the server soon!

[MOHAA] Spearhead & Breakthrough nvidia crash fix

This is an interesting one... I didn't expect the answer I found!

Issue:
Medal of Honor Allied Assault expansion packs crash for winXP/2000 users who own nvidia graphics chip cards and use series 9+ nvidia forceware drivers.
Standard Medal of Honor Allied Assault does not crash.

[ET] map update --- Frost Comp Edition (beta 4)

CyburK has updated his competion version of Frost to beta 4
- command post is now back in the ground floor in the north tower
- yard doors are now closed until the allies destroy the door controls by satchel charge
- door controls can be rebuilt by axis team
- terrain texture and other terrain changes
- lighting and bug fixes



These changes have greatly improved the map imo.
There will be a map testing night with Frost Comp Edition soon!

R.I.P. my Philips 109P monitor :[

My faithful monitor has passed on :[

My Philips 109P served me well. I rate that monitor 10/10 as it was faultless! Hi res with a high refresh rate equalled many hours of gaming bliss without the slightest hint of eyestrain. I now use my backup Philips 109B6. This is a good monitor and will hopefully last until I find an LCD I'm happy with... still searching... nothing has come close to my old 109P.

[UT04] Alien Swarm update --- v1.32

Alien Swarm is a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. It's an overhead view tactical squad-based setup. It's actually one of the few non-FPS games I like.

The Alien Swarm team has released an update for this great mod which addresses some bugs and adds better support for custom maps.

[BOXING] Mundine v Soliman 2

Tonight!
07-March-07

Sydney Entertainment Centre.
Vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight title.

This is also a rematch. Mundine faught Soliman in 2001 at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre. The fight went the distance. Mundine won with split point's decision.

I think Mundine will stop Soliman tonight before the end of the 10th round.


I'm going to the pub to watch it now...

[ET] map update --- Frost Competition Edition (beta 3)

CyburK has updated the competition version of his map Frost to beta 3
Many people complained about beta2 being too easy for the attackers. I think this version will balance the gaming for both teams. The first stage (towers, command post) should now be easier to defend. this is where you can make the most time
i guess. It's now harder for the allies to get their command post built. but i still think the attackers have an advantage cause they do not necessarily need the command post to get the radars and escape.
In the second stage the axis now can spawn at an alternative location making them a little bit more protected against spawn killing. Due to the allies spawning in the towers once the command post is built, the ways to the objectives are slightly longer and should make up for better gameplay in the second stage.
Once the radars are captured it will be hard to stop the truck cause its pretty fast now. To stop the truck the axis better get the command post back and close the gate before the truck has passed it.



beta3 Changes:
• Spawns

-Allies Spawn behind the Hills
-Axis Spawn in the Library
-When the Allies have built their Command Post they Spawn in the Towers. North by default, South as an alternative.
-Axis have a second Spawn near their back Spawn.

• Objectives

-There are now 2 !!!! Radar Prototypes that have to be stolen.
-Second Radar Prototype is located under the Radar Station.

• Other

-Axis have a team Door near the South Tower
-The Castle Gate can be closed and opend now. Allies can only open it Axis only close.
-The Command Post is now in the first Floor of the North Tower.
-Truck is much faster now.
-Changed the Sky to Nightsky.

• Fixes

-Roofs in the Second Stage cant be accessed any more.
-Engis dont get crushed when fixing the Truck on the loading Area.
-Swastika Poster removed.
