[MOH] thoughts and info on Medal of Honor 2010

The up-coming Medal of Honor is utising two game engines. Unreal Engine 3 for singleplayer and Frostbite engine for multiplayer. I don't know of a game that's done that before. I love both engines so I'm keen to see how this plays in both singleplayer and multiplayer. I really enjoyed the singleplayer element of Battlefied: Bad Company 2 and would have liked the news of this new Medal of Honor using the same Frostbite engine for its singleplayer. Apparently the Unreal Engine 3 will be heavily modified so some surprises may be on the way. Either way I'm confident it'll be a winning game for many. But who will like the singleplay and multiplay?

Even though DICE have stated people shouldn’t expect a clone of Bad Company 2 for Medal of Honor’s multiplayer it doesn't look like good news for me with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players getting awarded in Medal of Honor with early access to the M24 sniper rifle so it looks like the MP aspect of this games will use a similar stat-unlock-award system to the Battlefield series which I've never liked. Why penalise newbies??

Medal of Honor in modern war-torn Afghanistan

Looks like the next MOH title is due late 2010. I'm unsure about the modern aspect of it but time will tell if it works.
Rather than setting the next game in the traditional WWII theatre, the new Medal of Honor will put players in the more modern war-torn Afghanistan.

Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.

[MOH-A] Medal of Honor Airborne and PBSetup v3.4
Tuesday, 30 December, 2008, 08:03 - Medal of Honor
Posted by ned
This is for server admins who want to use PBSetup to install or update Punkbuster into Medal of Honor Airborne.

First some links:
• Medal of Honor Airborne

• MOH Airborne dedicated server pack v1.3

• PunkBuster Online Countermeasures

• PBSetup (Updating PunkBuster with PBSetup)

At the time of this post the current version of PBSetup was 3.4 which has an issue with the MOH Airborne v1.3 dedicated server pack. When running PBSetup and selecting 'Add a Game' and then selecting 'Medal of Honor: Airborne', PBSetup provides an incorrect default 'Game Path'. This is strange because PBSetup works OK with the full game version. There is only an issue with the server pack.

The incorrect given path is..
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Medal of Honor Airborne\UnrealEngine 3\MOHAGame\

There should be no space betweeen the e and 3

It should be..
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Medal of Honor Airborne\UnrealEngine3\MOHAGame\

So, all you have to do is remove the space in the 'Game Path' line and you're good to go.
Even Balance, Inc. have been notified about this error.

[MOH-A] How to save your Stats, Medals and Badges!

Saving all of your Stats etc in 'Medal of Honor Airborne' is quick and easy. If you're reinstalling the game for whatever reason then you may want to do this, particularly if you are progressing through your medals and wanting to add more to the excellent re-play value of this game. One of the best singleplayer games of all time in my opinion.

Click here -> Gaming Info and Links (ned's extras) and go the the Medal of Honor section for info on how to do this.

Do you use an NVIDIA graphics card?
Are you having issues with trying to install Medal of Honor Airborne?
Is your issue an abrupt abort of the install shortly after entering the Serial Number?

Click here -> Gaming Info and Links (ned's extras) and go the the Medal of Honor section for a possible fix.

[MOH-A] Airborne server finished!

The Medal of Honor Airborne server settings have been finalised. Thanks to AJ and all the pub players who joined! The gametype is set to 'Objective'. It's set to run 4v4 comp style. The first round attack/defend teams are chosen randomly. The losing team thereafter defends on the following round. First to win three rounds wins the map.

See the Links block to the right and look in Servers List for details.

[MOHAA] Breakthrough - a new discovery! - Battlechat macros -

I found something new today for one of the best games ever (in my opinion) hidden away in a readme file. The v2.40b patch readme file for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough.

As an aid to players trying to coordinate team play, several macros have been built into the chat parser for Breakthrough.

[MOH-A] MOH Airborne

I recently moved house so had no internet connection for a while. Times like this it's all about the single-player mode for me. I have to say that MOH Airborne single-player is awesome! Great atmosphere, superb graphics and not too damn long. The award system keeps you interested as well and definitely adds to re-playability... more on this later!

Make sure you have the latest patch! (v1.3) details - here -
-note: you need to install v1.2 patch first

I highly recommend this game :)

v1.3 multiplayer test server coming soon

[MOH-A] MOH Airborne v1.3 patch
Saturday, 15 March, 2008, 06:00 - Medal of Honor
Well this game is getting better after each patch. Some would say too little too late but the fact remains its evolving into a good multiplayer game in my opinion.

This latest patch (v1.3) adds new maps, Objective mode (like the original MOHAA), bug and balance fixes. This in combination with the previous patches gives us a top game for online play! It also still has punkbuster support.

Full details here...
EA : Medal of Honor : Airborne : News
-note: you need to install v1.2 patch first!
-patches also available from GameArena

Unfortunately my testing server is still offline but as soon as it's back up i'll sort something for those who want to check a few thing out :)
